Twitter Tip: Know When You Are Being Talked About By Using Google Alerts

To keep track of these conversations you only need to follow a few simple steps:
Step 1) Go to Google Alerts

Step 2) Set up your personal google alert by adding your Twitter Handle.

Step 3) Create the alert and never miss another conversation!

Supposedly you can get @replies sent to your cell phone by enabling SMS updates and “track”ing @. So, for me, I’d txt 40404 “track @mjmalone”
I haven’t tried it b/c I don’t have SMS updates enabled globally, and I’m too lazy to enabled SMS then go through all my friends and disable SMS updates for all of them individually. I wish there was an easier way to have just @replies sent to your phone, but from what I’ve heard ignoring feature requests from users is actually a twitter feature ;).
