Mixergy.com Interview
23 Feb
Mixergy is a video blog started by Andrew Warner focused on interviewing entrepreneurs. Andrew has done some wonderful interviews, including: Seth Godin, Jimmy Wales, Tim Ferriss, Dennis Crowley and many more. I was fortunate enough to spend some time with Andrew last week discussing VaynerMedia and branding (video embed below).

AJ, I really enjoyed the interview. What are some of your other favorite Mixergy interviews about branding or similar topics?
Kyle, thank you for the kind words. I really liked the Paul Graham and Seth Godin interviews. Others I would recommend = Dennis Crowley, Tim Ferriss, Josh Abramson, Jeffrey Kalmikoff.
Good job on the interview. I really appreciated your view on running a contest and bringing value.
Thank you for the kind words Elle!
Hey AJ,
Wonderful insights!
We have notes on your interview here.
I was wondering if you could give us some feedback on how accurate they are.
Thanks & Much Success

Nice interview! Simple and to the point about the basic attitude towards this stuff.
For sports, have you seen the effects of these social campaigns on people coming out to games or getting merchandise? I know for the Nets it is tough to build momentum with the way their season is going. They will definitely have some opportunities to connect with new fans with next season in Newark and the future in Brooklyn, but whats the response like right now?
Frank, that is an excellent question and one that our clients focus on. In regards to the Nets specifically, our relationship is still far too young for us to have made an impact in those areas. That being said, we have seen results with other clients specifically in the sports space in regards to attendance, merchandise and television ratings.
Great interview, AJ. It was a nice surprise to see you on Mixergy! I really dug your insights about how to bring on more people to help manage company growth while maintaining your brand’s authenticity and personal touch. That can be a tough line to walk.
Cheers!
Justin
Justin, thanks for the kind words! Truly appreciate it.
Very impressed AJ! I must say, I feel like I know you since I hear your name so much via GV’s videos. To see how you can review those websites and provide sound advice to each one of them was very impressive. You truly should put out more videos of yourself similar to GV. You definitely have the chops. Keep up the great work. Big fan already just from your one interview.
Michael, thank you for the kind words! I think I’ll leave the video blogs and speaking engagements to Gary – he’s got that on-lock. I’m super focused on running day-to-day at VaynerMedia for the time being!
