I don’t understand this Twitter stuff, all I know is that I see it on my notifications every 20 minutes
I, along with all of you, have friends who have no idea what Twitter is. Playing off that idea, here is what happens when you link your twitter to your Facebook status:

What about your friends?
Some of my friends are so confused by my “twittering” that they call me out on it on Facebook. I have also hung out with some friends (the ones that I see every now and then) and had them ask me why the heck I was always “twittering.” Do your friends react the same way? What is the funniest thing a friend has said to you about your Twitter habits?

Although I do have a FB account, I chose to not link Twitter with FB directly for this very reason! But they do get the update when I use Ping.fm ~ I have far too many non techie friends on FB!

I was worried about that, so I switched to TwitterSync ( http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=6009973148 ), which lets you customize what it prepends, if anything. Most of my friends will only read the Facebook status updates, so I also try to write my tweets in that context.

If you have a Mac, MoodBlast is a great option. It can update your status on Facebook, iChat/Adium, Skype, Pownce, Tumblr, Twitter, and Jaiku all in one press of a button. It sits in the menu bar, and is great for keeping everything up-to-date. It’s doesn’t allow you to see your tweets/pownce posts/Facebook, etc., it’s just for updating. It also supports scripts to update from Apple Mail, update from Quicksilver, update from iCal, and update every time your iTunes track changes. Best tool I’ve seen for making mass updates to lots of social networking sites.

This was the one that made me laugh the hardest…mostly because at this point I was doing it just to aggravate people like him…
“I think I speak for all of facebook when i say: STOP TWITTERING!!!!! And yes I realize that you probably are continuing to do it just to make people like me angry. NO ONE CARES!!!!!!!!!!”
I actually laughed out loud for awhile and then wrote a very sarcastic apology that I would assume he did not accept as realistic. He’s a good friend of mine though so it wasn’t too big a deal. I also had (I thought) taken off the status updates before that even came up, but after this one I decided to take almost all of the updates off other than the fact that it’s on my profile.
