LOST: A Reflection After 4 Seasons

What I think
* If you aren’t caught up, I wouldn’t recommend reading the rest of this blog post.
After watching the season 4 finale of LOST I have to admit I have mixed feelings regarding one of my all-time favorite TV series. The show is still wonderfully written and thought provoking but at this point I think the best way to describe LOST is “ridiculous.” I love the show and will continue to watch every episode, but it’s getting to the point where I find myself saying “are you serious?” far too often.
Ramblings
Glad to see Desmond and Penny reunite.
Truly curious to know what Sawyer whispered in Kate’s ear right before he jumped off the helicopter.
Why did the island “let” Locke die?
I liked Keamy’s character, I may be alone in this.
“See you in another life, brother”
“Checkmate Mr. Eko.”
Interested to see where the Sun and Mr. Whitmore ordeal goes.

I used to be of the same opinion that Lost was just getting too random and spontaneous, but then i started watching the episodes with some friends, then we’d discuss theories and questions and ideas about the episode. We also look at the episode’s entry on www.lostpedia.com to answer some of the obvious questions. It’s great stuff, and theres so much detail I used to miss by watching the show passively instead of actively. Doing so rekindled my passion for the show

I’m very intruiged by Sun’s arrangement with Widmore, and her performance on the helicopter is some of the best TV acting I’ve seen in a long time!
The Sayid v Keamy fight was kickass to watch too

I still love Lost. It’s always been ridiculous to me, so thats not new. I think Locke was able to die because he left the island. I also think that Hurley is a much bigger key to this whole thing than anyone expects. Don’t forget, they were his numbers!
P.S. Keamy was a badass who loved doing his job!
