Haven’t bought from Threadless in a while, but after meeting Harper Reed yesterday at Tech Cocktail Conf I decided to see if anything on Threadless would catch my eye. Luckily enough I found a t-shirt that I think is definitely “radicool.”

Over the past day or so I have become addicted to the Showtime Original Series Weeds.

Here is a quick synopsis from StarPulse:
Produced for cable’s Showtime service, the half-hour Weeds starred Mary-Louise Parker as suburban housewife Nancy Botwin, whose comfy, affluent existence was shattered by the unexpected death of her husband. With no other readily available source of income, Nancy decided to service an ever-growing consumer demand — by selling marijuana to other white-bread suburbanites. Purchasing her pot from streetwise dealer Conrad Shepard (Romany Malco) and his aunt, supplier Heylia James (Tonye Patano), Nancy set up her new business enterprise using a bakery as a front, with the assistance of city councilman Doug Wilson (Kevin Nealon) — all the while keeping her activities a secret from her snooty, traditionalist best friend, PTA president Celia Hodes (Elizabeth Perkins).
The show is quick (not drawn out) witty (not boring) and unpredictable (not lame). The dialog is on point, and each and every character is worth loving. If you are looking for a TV series to get into I highly recommend Weeds!

What I like
The top and sidebar navigation. In general both are clean and loaded with info that Reddit felt they needed to get across.
What I don’t like
The content. The big blue links look awful! The combination of spacing, and excessive white space make the reading experience nearly unbearable. Interestingly enough, I am not the only Reddit reader who agrees. Even after following the suggestion of compressing the link display, the problem is still exists.
How to fix the design
Reddit’s redesign isn’t a complete disaster. The quick fix to the main issue of reading content is to reduce white space and alternate background colors between story links. More contrast and less white would make the entire experience much much better!

Facebook has released its new profile design. This design is still in beta, meaning that it could still change over the next few weeks. Either way it looks like Facebook will be making this switch before the end of June.
What Facebook thinks of the new design:
We believe that the new design makes profiles cleaner and simpler, gives users more control over their profiles, and emphasizes recent and relevant information.
Personally I feel the new design is a little too spread out and disconnected. The information is very spread out, and seems to cater to users with heavy amounts of data. Some of my friends profiles looks so empty and ugly, that wasn’t the case before. This new design seems to solve the issue with cluttered profiles, but create a new one with empty profiles.
What do you think of the new design? What could be better? What did Facebook do right?

Robert Scoble is joining Revision3 (my future employer) for his latest project WorkFast.TV. (note, in the tweet above makes the mistake of calling the project FastWork.TV, he later fixed the mistake)
Robert describes the show as,
WorkFast.TV will be about how all this office 2.0/enterprise 2.0 stuff is changing our work lives. Surprises ahead!
Exciting news! Revision3 is doing a great job bringing in some top tier tech talent. I mean Veronica Belmont, Robert Scoble, and AJ Vaynerchuk (well maybe not top tier) in the last few months? WOW!
